The Thermostat regulates the temperature in your microwave.
While the heating element generates heat, the thermostat controls when the heating element should cut off and come back on so that the heat remains at the temperature that’s been set.
If the Thermostat in your microwave is faulty, then the element can keep heating up which can cause the food to become overcooked.
Please check model fit list to ensure this part is correct for your model.
